About The Author
April Harper
April Harper is a daughter, mother, sister, friend, and proud grandmother. Her journey took a sharp turn on April 23, 2024, when she began her battle with rectal cavity cancer; a fight she faced head on and won. Just months later, in July 2024, she was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer. It was in that moment, standing in the storm, that April chose to transform her pain into purpose.
Driven by her deep love for community and her lifelong passion for service, April created this journal as a space of truth, resilience, and connection. She combined her gift for writing with her desire to uplift others, crafting a companion for those navigating the cancer journey — one page at a time.
Professionally, April thrives in the property management arena, where she consistently uses her expertise to help low-income families secure housing and access vital resources. She is a cornerstone of harmony within her family, bridging generations with love and strength.
As an active member of her sorority, April brings wit, wisdom, and unwavering support to her sisterhood — always ready to serve, uplift, and lead with her entire heart.
